Some more from Astoria

Here are a few more photos from my recent trip to Astoria. The first three are from Astoria and the last three are upstream around Brownsmead. Because I was up there for a art reception and workshop, I did not have much time to shoot, but plan on going back next summer to spend more time investigating the photographic possibilities. Some of the great features Astoria has to offer are the river walk along the old rail line and waterfront, and the many shops in the old town area.  A must see stop is Lightbox Gallery on Main St. It is devoted to fine art photography and is one of the best galleries I have seen. Last week I was up in Astoria for a opening reception at Clatsop Community College. The art faculties from Linn-Benton and Mt. Hood are in a exchange show through Feb. 22nd. I also was able to get out a little bit and do some shooting. Here are a few of the resulting images.
