Winter Blues

I went to a reception at Linn-Benton C.C. last night. Two local mobile photographers (Kat Sloma and Bill Lang)  were showing their work. Both artists have very different approchs and styles, but showed that even using the same technology one could still produce widely different results. If you are in the Albany/Corvallis area check out the show. It is open M-F 8-5 in the South Santiam Gallery.

Have been stuck indoors so I only have a couple of images to share today. The first done with the Olympus E-P2 + pinhole set up that I have used for the last year or so, and the other shot using the iPod Touch 5G + Slow Camera App. It will be interesting to compare the two in print form. I am still concerned about how the 5MP image will hold up when enlarged.

Art Post Card Swap

Thought I would post this:

A friend of mine, Kat Sloma, has run a annual post card swap for the last three years called "Liberate Your Art". It sounds like a fun thing to do. I have participated in print swaps in the past, but that can be time consuming and costly. Post cards are a easy and inexpensive way to share your work and to see what others are up to. For all the details just click on the link below.

Here are two photo images shot with the iPod Touch 5G and Hipstamatic App:

Moving Along

Here are a few new images. The first was shot with my digital pinhole set up that I have been using for about the last year and a half, and is a pinhole montage. The last two were shot using my iPod Touch and the Slow Shutter Cam App. Shooting with the iPod Touch seems a little strange compared to my usual approach, but is starting to feel better as I go along. It has opened up a interesting world both technically and esthetically. Happy Trails - Kurt
